Telecheck declined my checks three different stores, made three call with no results.

I wrote a check for $64.59 at SurValue grocery store, on 12/02/2011. My check was declined, there was more than enough in checking account to cover check, called when I got home and found they had flagged our account as a security risk. I went to another store, food Outlet, six days later to buy grocery, which each of these stores is Supervised by my son, purchased $168.72 and gave them a check, and it was declined. If my son had not been in the store I would have had to leave and cash a check and come back to get my groceries. I went Christmas and stopped at Kmart, had $28.06 and the check was declined. I paid out of my pocket the amount, and called when I got home and they would not even listen to my complaint, just hung up on me. I sent a complaint to the Ala. Attorney Generals office, but that will take for ever and now what do I do about buying the rest of my Christmas. There has to be someone that can help us. This is a company trying to control, when, how much and how often we can spend out money. We need to get a Class Action Suit against this company. My husband and I live in Dothan, Alabama.

I tried to make a purchase at Best Buy and was declined even though I had the money in my account. I ended up buying elsewhere with my husbands debit card (mine won't read because of scratches & I won't pay the $25 for a new card).

The customer in front of me was also denied. Best Buy lost over $100 in good sales as did Dollar Tree. I think if retailers figure out how much in good sales they are losing they might start examining Telecheck more closely. Also calling Telecheck was pretty well useless.

The rep would only tell me future presentations would be evaluated for risk. I have no idea if this will continue or not even though she said my info was updated with them and there were no bad checks on record.

Guest

I think anyone with a beef against TeleCheck should contact the Federal Trade Commission and complain, then send an info copy to their Congressman or a Senator. If enough gripes start stacking up someone will follow through.

Guest

the solution to buying the rest of your christmas gifts is to go to your bank and pull out some cash. If you have money in their to cover a check than you can certainly pull out that amount in cash.

Or maybe you should look at getting a debit card which would be better than having to worry about if someone will take your check and comes straight out of your bank account as well. Checks are on their way out and you'll be lucky if most places even continue taking them in the following years.

Guest

No, I doubt that class action will help much either. Get a credit card or a debit card.

Using checks is very risky in today's banking world, anyway. Telecheck does not answer to anyone, so good luck getting them to improve.

Telecheck declined my check & won't give me guidelines they used!

Wrote a check at Wal-Mart for $63. Telecheck declined my check. I went out to the parking lot & called customer service. I was told that my check did not meet their guidelines for being a good check. I asked what their guidelines where, as I had written several checks to wal-mart over the past week (one for >300), and all checks had cleared & been taken without problem. They did verify with my bank that my $63 check was good & told me that I could go back into Wal-mart & re-present it - yeah right. Spoke with the supervisor, because I want to know the guidelines they used in declining my check. She cannot give me those guidelines, she cannot give me someone who can give me the guidelines, she cannot give me the # to the corporate office (all she has is a transfer button & isn't provided with the #). Customer service was happy to transfer me to the corporate office, but surprise it was closed. I just want to know the guidelines! I don't feel that is an unreasonable request. I do not have bad checks out & I don't understand taking my $300 check & refusing my $63 check. Why can't I know the guidelines?

some people won't use credit cards if you can't pay for it you don't need it. and older people don't always understand the difference between atm and credit as they have credit logo's on them

You should use a credit card! Carrying a checkbook is very risky in today's banking world.

Telecheck denied my check and their reason is bogus!!

Yesterday my check was denied at Sephora within J.C.Penney. Today it was denied at Best Buy. After being embarrassed two days in a row I visited with the branch manager at my bank (a BIG national one) only to discover that my account is in excellent standing. The manager then contacted Telecheck and handed the phone over to me. After speaking to a supervisor I learned that the reason they denied my checks was that the last time I wrote a check to a business that uses Telecheck was 14 checks ago. Therefore they claim that they were looking at this as a possible case of fraud. I tried to tell them that those 14 checks were written to pay bills and to businesses that do not use their service. Why should I be penalized for businesses not using their service. The kicker was that I was told I CAN NOT WRITE ANY CHECKS FOR 7 DAYS. What a nightmare especially at this time of year. I will make a conscious effort to use business that do not subscribe to this POWER HUNGRY service.

This happened to me also at Best Buy while trying to purchase a computer for my wife for Christmas. TO SO SAD-my debit card was scratched in an ATM machine and am waiting for replacement.

I also have credit cards and other debit cards for household accounts...here is the rub.

The account I was using was my personal account..where is the surprise when your spouse can open the account online and see EXACTLY what you bought her for Christmas. You are a butt..but remember your response here the next time you fall into a bad situation because of circumstances beyond your control and remember "There is also a solution to the *** you are dealing with...move into the 21st Century and have the solution and stop whinning."

Guest

Why not move into the 21st century and use a debit card like every other normal person? Then you won't have to worry about this happening.

Guest

I have had four checks denied thanks to telecheck( JC Penney, Old navy, Kmart, and Belks). I have never had a problem until the last two weeks, now here at Christmas I can't write a check.

I have called the bank and telecheck.

Yes there is increased activity- I'm trying to Christmas shop! I agree with you, do I really want to shop with merchants that uses this company?

Check denial

This weekend I was trying to purchase items that I needed for my business and some things for pleasure. I had gotten my income taxes and lost my debit card. On three occasions in less than a week you company denied me access to my money that I worked very hard for. The range was from $24 to $2200. I am very unhappy. I bought gas for $25 and could not access any of my funds to pay. This is very embarrassing and demeaning to those of us that work hard and have to in turn count out pennies because your automated system makes decisions about MY money. I did call and talk to a representative to verify information only to find out that there is an unwillingness to help even though we are given phone numbers to call. Your company is very unprofessional. Once you are verified by you bank you can get things resolved over the phone at that time. Your company should do this so that people can have access to their money. I work from home and this ordeal has cost me 2 days of work.

Urmom, you shouldn't be allowed to post on this site. You are making personal attacks on people who are validly pissed at a company who is causing them extreme embarrassment and loss of valuable time by denying them access to their funds to pay for merchandise. You have the right to use the legal method of payment of your choice, and so do they.

Guest

The bank does not just hand out debit cards because you "lost one" so shut up Urmom. Telecheck does not have the right to deny use of our money just because they are biased and bigoted.

Why don't you get off your trip of calling check writers 'scammers'. We are honest, upstanding citizens of America and we have every right to spend our money the way we do without some *** company saying we can't spend money they have no knowledge of.

They can't just deny our checks because of "risk factors", if we have the money for the transaction, then we have it and we should be able to pay for our items whichever way we please. So thank you for your rude comments, they are not needed :)

Guest

This is your fault. You could have gotten a temporary debit card from the bank on the same day.

Most retailers won't even take checks any more. And when they do - they just scan them anyway and telecheck does the work. Telecheck is under no legal responsibility to help you gain access to your checking account balance at the bank.

You also could have gone to the bank to get cash.

You are just a bunch of scammers trying to cash fake checks. And they stopped you, good for them.

TELECHECK WILL RUIN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'M 66 YRS OLD- I have NEVER written a bad check. 12/2/12 I wrote a ck at wall mart and it was declined, I immediately called from the store took over 15 min. to even get through redoing all the #'s they wanted-when I finally talked to a human they told me I had written a bad ck 12/23/11-which I was totally unaware of**I went home and did my own research and yes I'd made an error. Well I waited for their time period and watched my account when the ck cleared I called telecheck and asked if I was cleared to write checks again "YES" no holds or allerts on my account, even checked through using my SS# all is fine I wrote a check last night at Meijer, ck was refused. I called immediately and again was on the phone 20 min. couldn't give me a reason what was wrong. So again I called 1/13/12, I was told I was a high risk because of writing 1 bad check in my life. The lady then said it was their decision the ck balance had to be verified before it could be accepted. Again I"m told all is fine I could go back to the store and even present the same ck for processing " RIGHT " what about my groceries I had to leave at the store. What really got me was her telling me they had NO record of me calling and talking to anyone last night****I guess their word is gospel

Same thing happened to me with a store I shopped at for 20 years. I called the stores corporate offices and explained that I was taking my business elsewhere unless they got this telecheck out of the picture.

They reviewed my account and see that 20 years of my business with them could be hurtful loss to them. the problem is the telecheck company is placing limits on the public with how much we can spend and limits how much they will allow to be processed in a week. I didn't ask them to be my accountant and last I looked I could spend my money how I saw fit. Profiling people is a crime unless you are a police man.

Time for a lawsuit. Just remember the company you shop with signed an agreement with them to provide this service so go after them first.

Denied my check

Telecheck SUCKS! I have been writing checks for 32 years never once a hot check. In the past 5 days Telecheck has denied 2 of my checks because they fell outside their guide lines of my normal check writing. Not because I didn't have the money to cover themone was for $6.50 and the other $58.84. Because I had wrote a number of checks. It's Christmas time!!! Let's get real! What gives them the right to PROFILE me and my check writing? Or to decide where I can or can't give a check at? I'm MAD as ***!!!!!

My check was denied AFTER MAKING A TRANSFER FROM MY SAVING ACCOUNT! I had more than enough money in my bank to cover the small check I was ATTEMPTING to cash at a local store that I've been shopping at since 1986!

Embarrassed & Livid. Christmas time? Really? I cannot write a check anywhere TeleCheck is used.

7 to 10 business days for TeleCheck to "Investigate" me & my banking habits? What?

I am 51 years old & have NEVER had this type of thing happen. :(

Checks are just as risky (maybe more) as cash in today's banking world and should not be used in public. Get a credit card or debit card.

Checks are becoming obsolete very fast.

Telecheck does not care about any of this and will not change. You gave them the right when you offered the check.

Renee Ive

No company should have the right to determine if a check falls into \"their\" guidelines of check writing based on the number of checks a person writes in one day. Especially here at the holiday season. Some people are going to have a high volume of written checks if they are like me and don\'t deal with cash.

Telecheck SUCKS, declined check for "no apparent reason"

Hubby went to pick up meds at drug store. Wrote check, check declined. At home I called the number and gave the denial record number. Telecheck said it was due to "risk factors", not that we have an active file, or funds in bank account...apparently my husband has not written "enough" checks there and so does not have a "record" to go on. CAN THIS BE ANY STUPIDER??????? We get all our meds at this drug store, Telecheck said it did not tell the merchant to decline the check.....GRRRRRRRRRRR...I have to use this drug store pursuant to my health insurance......what is he supposed to do...go in and keep getting declined until he has a "record"????? This is a *** company.

Telecheck denies check for RIDICULOUS reason!

I never heard of Telecheck until today. I don't usually write checks, from the checkbook I was using, in stores. Today I wrote 2. The first one, presented at Wal-Mart in Manville, was accepted. The second, presented at K-Mart in Somerset was denied. I didn't even know a check could be denied. My purchase totalled approx. $240.00, I had $7000.00 in the account, I had all the proper identification, but it was no good. I was furious. I called Telecheck, while still standing at the checkout, in order to rectify the problem. Afer much hassle and much waiting I finally reached a real person. She explained that my check had been denied because my check numbers were out of sequence. That's right. Somehow I had accidentally skipped a check, and went back to it today. My check was denied because I had written out check # 1404 AFTER I had written check # 1407, and that put the transaction at high risk for fraud. I explained that there was no fraud, it was my account, in my name, with plenty of money in it, and that I had the proper photo ID, so how could there be a fraud? Unbelievable. I asked that the next check that I write be approved, because I had a basket full of merchandise that I needed to pay for, and she couldn't guarantee that the 2nd one would be accepted – and it wasn't! Unfortunately it is a holiday weekend so I have to be patient, but I can't wait to get to my bank on Tuesday and see what they have to say about this. I will be requesting a debit card for this account to use in the future, and I will be advising retailers from now on that when they say "Yes, we accept checks", that they should also add "IF Telecheck decides to approve it, but you won't know whether they will or won't until after you've done all your shopping." From what I've read online in just the past ½ hour, I realize that this is becoming a common problem with Telecheck. There are tons of complaints about them. It's just another case of yet another company/agency playing God with people's lives and people's reputations. Unfortunately, I'm sure things will only get worse.

I know what your going threw the same thing happened to me and my husband for no reason at Walmart. Boy is it embasserring people in line give you dirty looks everything.

You get the run around with them even though its not your fault at all.

They told us someone has same identy as either me or my husband. they woulden,t tell you who and if this person stole from are account.

They diden,t I think it was just a excuse to do this I got a code 4 which means that you have a history of writing bad checks. which I don,t Ifound out on line what a code 4 is and this is such bull *** it should be against the law.

Guest

I have had a similar ocurrance with telecheck. I would like to find a store that does NOT use them...and I would shop there.

They are a company that charges large sums of money to their clients and all they do is upset the customer. I am a business owner and I would never use a company that does business like telecheck.

We can only hope that companies like Walmart, will stop using them...but it is doubtful....when a company is that big, it is too convenient to throw banking issues to another company.

Guest

This has happen to me twice in the past few months. The first time they said it was my info with them was not up to date so they updated so says and this time it was because I was purchasing more on the amount of check than I usually do.

This is so untrue it is ridiculous. The first time my debit card was even not accepted and not because I did have money but because merchant did it. I had called my bank and this is what they told me.

I really don't know what's going on, but they are not giving sufficient reasons to me for doing this.

Guest

I had same problem very embarrassing when your in line have a whole cart full and my check was denied in front of people in back of me in line it sucks

Least they r better than Certegy .

Certegy is assayed up check declining nightmare and everyone working there is from Bolivia or some screwed up company with robots reading scripts . Everything they begin a sentence with is " sorry for your inconvenient w" or " I u derstand" .

They r not sorry and they don't understand , so why give that *** out , like they have been to some salsas and customer service seminar , that needs an update . Telecheck is a little better , sti , protection for the customer is a lie , Walmart is the issue . Becuz they have fraud issues , they pass on to good customers . If I want to write my checks out of order , I can .

I did t hire them to monitory crep . My bank does that for me .'not robots from Bli is creating fraud mew sides for out of order check writing .

First time I've ever been denied of ANY financial transaction. Declined code 2 @ Wal-Mart, not sure how to take this.

BUT WON'T USE PLASTIC for Wal-Marts convenience. Told by telecheck that all my check writing would be monitored by them from now on if the company contracted them. I wrote a letter to Wal-Mart, let them know how you feel!(Don't jump on the associate they have no control over this). After I retired I worked @ Wal-Mart for 4 1/2 years and watched, listened and learned.

I know they take a lot of bad debt and I didn't say lose a lot of money, that's one thing Wal-Mart doesn't do.

Pennies make dollars. They lost $400 tonight, buy denying my check and a lot more in the future because I won't be humiliated again.

went to buy a 47" flat screen from sams as a birthday present for our teenage daughter. We wanted to pay with our check since sams doesn't accept visa check cards.

We didn't bring any mastercard or discover credit cards with us. So, the check got denied and I've never bounced a check, my credit is good and nothing negative like that has ever happened to me. Since I couldn't pay with a visa, we had to walk out of there like delinquents that got their check denied, had no other way of paying so they couldn't buy the big screen tv they brought up to the counter. We left the TV at the counter, it was ridiculous.

We ended up getting the tv a few days later from somewhere else. Sams just lost a good sized sale because of telecheck and for no good reason. It's frustrating and it was a waist of our time to shop there just to be told at checkout that our checks are bad. (when they shouldn't even be bad) It's bad enough that they don't take visa.

Not to mention my husbands boss happened to be close enough to experience the whole thing going down. It made him look irresponsible.

If there's a class action, i'm in too!!

Stores should realize the good and honest sales they are loosing because of telecheck and do away with them. (or at least make telecheck change their ways)

Someone stole our checking account number. We did everything Telecheck required...filed Police Report....sent them a copy....sent them copies of all fraudulent checks written on our account and filed Forgery Affidavit with them.

After about 2 weeks, they said everything they required had been met. Now. 3 weeks later, I am still having checks denied. Everytime I call, someone in a robotic, monotone voice answers and says EACH CHECK is evaluated individually and each time, they give a different reason for why it was denied.

I have even written a letter to the President of the company....no results. One of the robotic people told me this could go on indefinitely. Are any of you interested in filing a class-action lawsuit against them?

I am at my wit's end. I don't know what else to do.

Declined my check 3 times

I went to Foodtown and wrote a check. It was declined. I called the number and was told that the account was too new. I went in again about a month later and presented a check, same problem. Telecheck told me that the check fell outside of their guidelines(whatever they are). The check was for $29. I went again today and wrote a check for $74 it was declined because it falls outside of the "risk guidelines". I just spoke with someone from the Civil Rights Commission and I will have a complaint filed today. If anyone else is having a problem, contact your office in your area and file a complaint. This nonsense needs to stop!

They probably ran your credit and found that you owe too much money to too many people and do not want to accept any risk associated with your check.

As you can see in this example; checks are riskier than any debit or credit cards.

The reason she did not use a credit card, is because they are all maxed out.

Guest

There is someone that they must answer to and you will see the significance in the complaint. Debit and Credit cards are just as risky if not more of a risk than a check :sigh Today's banking world is just what it is: Banking world.

There is no one (excluding the bank)that should determine who is allowed to write a check and who is not. If there were a problem with the check that would be different, but considering that is not the issue....it's whatever!

Guest

Telecheck answers to no one else and your complaints will go nowhere fast. What does Civil Rights have to do with them rejecting your check?

You should be using a credit or debit card. Checks are very risky in today's banking world.

Customer No-Service

Best Buy has lost $4,500 in sales due to Telecheck's script reading customer service representatives and supervisors that not willing or do not have the authority to help. I was in the market for 3 LED HD TV's and was trying to purchase them from Best Buy. When I tried to write a check for the T.V.'s, my check was declined because the amount of money "fell outside of the risk guidelines" for Telecheck. No one including the supervisor from Telecheck was willing to help. I tried to get Telecheck to call my bank and verify I had funds in the account and they refused, the only advice they could give me was to try to write the check again in 7 days...Really! In today's economy, someone wants to spend money, has the money to spend, and these folks will decline their check and do nothing to help resovle their concerns. Best Buy said I could use another form of payment but now it was the principle, I had the money was not wiliing to change my form of payment, I have options and purchased by T.V.'s from some place else. Telecheck has put people in place who deal directly with the public that are not empowered to make decisions and can only read off of a script. They make you feel as though you trying to write a bad check and they leave you standing at the counter with no options. This is by far, the worse customer service I have ever received.

Had the same experience at Best Buy last night, had purchased large items there the day before, stopped back for another item for $154 (less $15 in RewardZone certificates as a Premier Silver member. TeleCheck denied my check, confirmed I was the account owner, said I had recent spending activity (no kidding, at Best Buy the day before).

They said it had nothing to do w/ the money in the account (there's plenty), and that a new check should clear in 1 to 7 days.

He didn't have the authority to override the computer stop order. Fortunately I have the authority to shop elsewhere.

Guest

There is a class action by consumers in the state of TN against Telechek for failure to update their data base, which results in incorrect information being sent to the merchant. You might want to keep an eye on that one and see if it helps Best Buy make better choices on who they turn their accounts receivables over to.

John N Mzy

Best Buy has alot of problems, as seems to be on the *** of a financial crisis, but they no longer have any customer service to speak of and if they rely on telecheck to ensure a minimum of bad checks, they are making a mistake. But, overall, they save money using them, so either charge on your visa or pay cash.

Or, do as I now do---shop somewhere else. I have had it with their "Best Buy PC app" and lack of customer service---or even polite cashiers!!

TeleCheck denied check

I have had a checking account for over twenty years and have never written a cold check and I have never until the last two weeks ever had a problem writing a check anywhere! Now thanks to telecheck I have had four checks denied because of them. I called my bank worried that I had been a victim of identity theft and was told everything was okay from the bank and there was no problem on their end.I again attempted to go Christmas shopping and a check was denied again thanks to telecheck. I have called telecheck twice this week with no success. They have no access to my account balance but have given advice to the merchant not to accept my check, but then go on to say that telecheck did not decide to decline my check. I am furious! Who are they protecting? I work, I pay my bills, I have a great credit, I have never cheated anyone out of a dime, and now this company is advising merchants not to take my checks because they have flagged something? Does this company have a clue who they protecting or what they are doing? Also, do I want do business with the companies that hire these idiots?

Don't be so hasty in suggesting people switch to debit cards. I'm in central Illinois and am in the middle of a fiasco: Used my checking account's debit card at a local gas station that uses TeleCheck for its debit/credit swiper server.

Not only did $40 come out of my checking account for the gas, but $50 was put "on hold" for 24-72 hours. I did this twice in the same day not realizing $50 was put on "hold" again because the purchases were under $50. So, it looked like I had $100 less in my account than there actually was. My bank charged me $31 for being overdrafted!!!

TeleCheck says it does not touch anything in my account (using the debit card) other than the purchase amount but my bank says the Hold Fee was done by TeleCheck. Just getting this baby warmed up...going to contact legal authorities, the bank's board of directors and others who may have been swindled with "hold fees" causing overdraft fees.

Guest

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday! It was embarrassing . Wrote a check at walmart and it was fine then knart denied my check because of telecheck

Guest

What do you do when you don't have a debit card there are lots of people who can not get one because they have to keep a balance of three hundred dollars in the account. :(

Guest

Why not move into the 21st century and pay by debit card? Then you won't have to worry about that.

TeleCheck is a bad joke.

TeleCheck tells me that my check was declined and I was embarrassed in front of a merchant simply because they don't have enough information about me. As I seldom write checks they could only find one prior record through one of their members and apparently a $2,700 check was too much for them. The bank is a respectable one and the account is at least 8-10 years old, with no dishonored checks at any time. The Tele-Check clerk said that they had no UNfavorable information that caused them to decline my check, they simply did not have sufficient information. That is totally *** and prompts me now to inquire of all merchants, whether or not I intend to pay by check. I will buy nothing from any firm that uses the TeleCheck services for any reason.

i guess we are supposed to check and see which check verification company the store works with to process checks. apparently there are quite a number of them.but i do think it's totally dumb to not process a check because it's too large.

Do away with Telecheck. Use a debit card.

I wrote TeleCheck and demanded a written report from them on all information they have on file about me. Just got their reply and will call them Monday.

So far they refuse to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act until I give them a copy of my D/L, my Social Security Number, a voided check and a copy of a tax or utility bill reflecting my current address.

I'll call them Monday to ask if they intend to produce the report required by law without those things because I'm not about to give all that to a company that I do not trust. How am I supposed to know that they are not just a big identity theft scam?

In the past week Telecheck has denied 2 of my checks, because they fell outside their guide lines. There was more than enough to cover these 2 checks in my checking account!!

Called Telecheck when I got home . . . they would not give me any more information except they fell outside their guide lines!!!!

Telecheck denies my EXCANGE AT WAL MART

Went into Wal Mart to exchange a purchase and was told that because telecheck red flagged me for writing hot checks I wasnt allowed to exchange my CASH purchase for another CASH purchase ! WTF I went to my bank and was told what I already knew , I have NEVER written a hot check to anyone. So I went back to Wal Mart and was told that they still would not do busness with me . Try to call telecheck and all options on the automated phone system tell you to go to the website to file a claim and that i will need notarized paprwork, but wait, Wal mart and telecheck reuse to give me any info. No numbers , dates or amounts of any "bad checks" so that I can file any paperwork or claim .Still, how does that stop me from doing a cash exchange? SHAME ON WAL MART AND TELECHECK!

Telecheck does not only look for bad checks written to walmart. Thousands of businesses use telecheck.

It could be a bad check written to payless shoes 15 years ago that was never taken care of.

One way to avoid this problem when making a return is to save your receipt. Most stores (especially walmart) don't ask for ID if you have the receipt.

EXACTLY, I have never written a check to wal mart. That is partly my point!

Most people have advanced from the dark ages and now use debit cards or credit cards.

Yes, writing a check at a store is a very bad idea. If Telecheck doesn't flag you, there is a real risk of other problems with paper checks. Use a credit card.

TeleCheck denied a withdraw from my checking account

Unable to walk well. First time on line shopping and decided to accept the option at Amazon to have the purchases paid directly from my checking account. The first purchases for two days went well, then customer service at Amazon emailed an apology informing of a denial on my account. I right away called my credit union and confirmed the amount in my account, there is enough money to cover all purchases plus more. Amazon gave details to get in touch with TeleCheck. I couldn't get through to talk to anyone. The questions being asked by a "robot" wanted a check number - how can I give a check number on a direct withdraw?? The purchase was resolve by using my credit card. But the purpose to not have a c.c. bill was foiled. So now, do I have to ask all merchants if they use TeleCheck? Living in a remote area there are not too many choices of stores. This really stinks!!!!

Telecheck declined checks even after my bank told them there was sufficient funds

I traveled over 1200 miles to where my brother lives to purchase items for him that he needs. I am his conservator/guardian and I need to keep records of all spent from a checking account set up for him. Telecheck declined the check at Wal Mart and then again two days later at another store despite the fact that I spent three hrs on phone with them and even had a three way with my bank's manager and telecheck was told by my bank in that conversation that there was sufficient funds in the account. Telecheck was told in four different conversations that i had traveled a great distance to buy my brother things from this account set up for him. Despite this and the fact they talked to my bank, the refused to cash the checks. My bank did all they could do by telling them the funds were there. I had no other option but to put the purchases on my credit card. This is going to make it very difficult to work through all of this now. Telecheck said I did not have a sufficient check writing record. HOw can I if they deny m checks?? What kind of a company is it that will not listen to your bank? The time I could have spent with my brother was spent in stress talking to telecheck who only reads a canned statement that makes no sense to you. I was unable to make some of the purchases I would have made otherwise. This has been a very stressful, time consuming. degrading unnecessary experience.

You don't get it. I have to keep a record for the courts of all spent on my brother from my brother's account.

SHISH....to you!!!

You totally missed the point. Perhaps you work for telecheck?

Pulltype, everyone is not able to use a credit card! Geesh!

Using checks is very risky in todays banking world!! Just use the credit card and make your life easy.

Telecheck does not answer to anyone but themselves. Forget it and move on.
