I too just signed up to use TeleCheck for our small business. We lost over $4,000.00 between two bad checks this month.

What people don't understand is calling to verify funds is NOT realistic.

That bad checks are a "civil matter" and the local police don't help.

There is a class action lawsuit against Telecheck in the state of Tennessee.

You have legal rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You can request a copy of your Consumer File Disclosure and if the information is inaccurate you have a right to dispute it.

WENT TO SAM'S CLUB TO PURCHASE GOODS FOR OUR COMPANY AND WITH NO LOGICAL REASON OUR CHECK WAS DENIED. HAVE CALLED TELECHECK AT THEIR NUMEROUS TELEPHONE #'S WITH NO SUSCESS TO GET ANSWERS. YOU GET AN A AUTOMATED VOICE SERVICE AND FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS AND AFTER ENTERING A BUNCH OF #'S WHICH TAKE UP TO MUCH TIME YOUR CALL GETS CUT OFF. WILL REALLY APPRECIATE A REAL HUMAN CONTACT TO GET ANSWER AS TO WHY OUR CHECK WAS DENIED.CUSTOMER SERVICE AT TELCHECK IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE. The government has established the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau where you can find help and even file a complaint if necessary. Just look them up on the internet and you may be able to put your problems with this company to rest. Hope this helps.

Telecheck in Eden Prairie, Minnesota - Mr Brian D Etienne

This COMPANY is worthless. They treat innocent people the same as a criminal. I contacted my bank to stop an auto withdrawal. Unfortunately, the auto withdrawal was missed. Because of that, The bank returned one of my checks on Dec 29 2012 and it went to the JERKS at Telecheck.My bank has since corrected the error - but even though Telecheck sent it through again, and it cleared, Telecheck immediately FROZE my account anyway. The $30.00 fee they charged me also cleared my account on 01/19/2013 - so both of them have cleared YET, my account is still frozen. I have been embarrassed at the grocery store and the drug store and still am. It would seem to me, this is a circumstance that was out of my control - yet TELELOSER-check will not release my account. I call the so called customer service line - get some *** song and dance, about 10 business days until the bank PROVES it cleared. Well idiots, it has cleared long ago - its almost a month I still have no access to my account. I call - try to talk to someone, I get these losers that can't speak the English language and they are ZERO HELP. Never have I dealt with an organization that won't listen to reason. Then they have the nerve to ask - "anything else I can help with "? people at TELELOSER - check, need to look in Websters and read what the word HELP means.

I have had problems with this company more times than once. I wish I knew how to put them out of business for good.

My check got declined at a grocery store and I called this morning and was given the reason was because my last few checks were in the 200's (the bank had printed me some tempory checks because I had run out without realizing it and these were used until I got my ordered checks in the mail) and the one I was using this morning was in the 2600's; got disconnected and when I called back they gave me a totally different reason for it being declined-said I had had too much activity over the last few days--however it has been 3-4 days since the last check was written! Then I was "advised" not to try to write a check to any store that used them for the next 7 days---WTF is that?

I think any store that uses them should quit using them and put them out of business---they decline checks on a whim and not because you have outstanding bad checks---I have none!!!!! If anyone out there figures out a way to sue them or put them out of business once and for all---I AM IN!!!!!!

Telecheck in Clinton, Arkansas - More than pissed

Have be shopping at my local Walmart for years writing checks no problem. Until yesterday and my check was declined via TeleCheck luckily I had cash to pay for my stuff. I called all the numbers, it was all automative, could not get a real person. Went online to check TeleCheck website no help there either. Checked with bank, no problems there. Knew there wasn't. And Walmart can't tell you anything either. They said they use the same numbers. So how do they get anything done? So what do you do with a company that doesn't have real people answering the phones. What the ***!!!!

i had THE SAME ISSUE, THEN U GO ON LINE AND THEY WANT YOU TO SEND ALL YOUR INFO ON LINE TO WHO!? no wonder there is more check thieves they can look it up at telecheck i think the gov needs to check into this site i believe they are selling information,

Don't blame the Merchant. Blame the *** bags who make a living writing bad checks.

In my business it came down to two choices, either stop taking ALL checks or find someone like telecheck to process checks. Granted Telecheck could use alot of improvements but they are better than refusing ALL checks. Do you know of a better check verification system?

If you do, please share. I am sure there are plenty of business owners who would like to find a better system.

It's Time For Customers to Put Telecheck in Check

Went to purchased groceries at Food Lion. After presenting my check, cashier handed it back to me and said, "I'm sorry, your check was Declined." Second time in three months, because my check history of check writing does not fit their model. This was relayed to me by the all Filipino staff on both occasions. Telecheck can not continue to profit off of the inconvenience, embarrassment, and disrespect showed to Americans who are simply attempting to access monies we worked hard to gather. It's time to organize and Blacklist ALL merchants using TELECHECK and it's Non USA call center! If those merchants such as Food Lion have that much contempt for their customers that they would subject them to this arbitrary decision process on who can and can not purchase their merchandise so be it. But good people of America let these slights by Corporate America go unanswered for... and they will continue to treat us like chattel. Enough is enough!

The retailer dictates the parameters. There is no leeway on the part of cashiers because they would be violating company policy.

Retailers will lock-step stop taking checks soon enough. Have you thought of a debit card?

This is an easy solution. Why stress.
